Nov. 8th, 2005 08:31 amI feel like such an adult today I'm giddy with the maturity of it!
You are looking a fully realize woman who just last week mailed her final car payment and has received the title to her first real adult possession!
Yep! No more sending in my hard-earned cash to fill the pockets of the Man(TM)! I'm riding fancy free with no one to tell me otherwise.
Well... except the insurance company maybe. But just THEM and no one... well...
There is still a few student loan matters to workout, but Thats It... Oh and rent- almost forgot about that. Though that's just minor bump in the ... utilities - yeah, can't forget about those.
~sigh~
I feel old now.

I've got gas.... In a good way
Aug. 31st, 2005 10:00 amTwo pipelines closed in atlanta, Katrina closes oil refineries in the gulf, and a boycott on gas about to start the next day.
result: entire town losing their ever lovin minds.
My mom comes home from work early just to fill her tank and make sure I did too. I( being the rational world thinker I am) try to explain to my bright but easily manipulated mother that there is a nationwide boycott on gas happening the next day and the crowds are just people trying to fill up the day before. I think I'm going to have to apologize to my mother for my naivety because a little protest on gas prices was not what I saw today.
There were lines at the pump that stretched around the block close to where I live for gas that hadn't been raised .30 .40 cents than it had been the previous day. It didn't last long, though, since that gas station quickly ran out because of people who had bought out the store's supply of gas tanks. I guess they're stockpiling for the coming apocalypse which if you ask every third person around here is fast approaching (sadly that not even a joke, this is in the Christian belt remember).
My thoughts on all of this?
*Shrugs* I got a full tank the night before, I'm good.

Aug. 24th, 2005 06:35 amIt's getting ridiculous how much I'm lazing about lately. There are about a dozen things I need to do that I haven't even started yet.
A good seven have to do with school next fall. No, I shouldn't say next fall. That makes it look like i have plenty of time. I should say next month- like need to haul ass to:
1) the health department-* Why do they need documented proof that I had the chicken pox in the third grade?*,
2) financial aid building-* Would you believe me if I said It slipped my mind that I had to pay those loans back? No? Loan people didn't buy it either ~pouts~*,
3) dentist office-* Once again documented proof of no tooth decay*,
4) court house-* I have no idea where my birth certificate is*
and get my shit in order.
~Yawn~ But it's raining here so I'll go tomorrow.... I guess.... Maybe.
